Small or Large Engine Repairs
If you need a diagnosis to see how much your repair will be or have a warranted unit needing a diagnostic, services are no less than a 30 min labor fee. Starting at $38.50

If the repair of the small engine exceeds roughly an hour of labor, the charge will be $72.50+ per hour, depending on time and parts (also Includes a full service with seasonal tune-up and more).

If the repair of a large engine exceeds roughly an hour of labor, the charge will be $89.50+ per hour, depending on time and parts (also Includes a full service with seasonal tune-up and more).

We offer blade sharpenings as well. - Blades off the mower run $8.00 each. - Blades on the mower run $15.00 *(Normally, if you bring blades in to sharpen off the mower, we can get them finished within 2 minutes. However, if you bring a mower in with the blades still on, you will have to leave the unit with us to get to the blade sharpening).*
We offer chainsaw sharpenings as well.
Chains will have to be left with us, and our tech usually is five days out of chain sharpenings.
Depending on the length of the chains, the chains start around $10.00 and can go up to $20.00.
Hood's equipment is a Toro, Exmark, Echo dealer, and more. However, we can work on other brands of units. We NO LONGER work on the following brands:

- Remington
- Ridgid
- EFCO

- Jonsered
- Turf Beast
If you need parts for your small engine unit, we are here to help. We stock most Toro, Exmark, Echo, and Oregon parts. However, if we don't have the parts you are looking for, we can happily order them for you!
To sell parts to our customers or order parts in for them, Hood's equipment requires specific numbers from your unit.
For any parts of the unit, we require both:

If you cannot find these specific numbers, you will need to contact whomever you bought the unit from or contact the brand of dealer your unit is to receive these numbers.
If we don't stock parts that you are needing, we can surely order them in if our dealers supply them. However, if we order in a particular part for you that we do not stock, we are REQUIRED to charge a restocking fee of 20% if you do not take or pay for it. NOTE: We order every WEDNESDAY, and it takes between 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS to deliver IF in stock at the warehouse when the order is placed. If your part is not stocked at a warehouse, it will be placed on backorder until available.
Hood's Equipment REQUIRES a model and serial number or engine model type and code to sell you the correct parts for your unit. If you do not supply us with these numbers and order or buy similar parts that end up not being accurate, we can not take them back once installed on the unit.
If you buy or order any of the following products, there is a NO RETURN POLICY:

All seasonal service for units involve:
** Parts are addition I.E., Air Filters, Spark Plug, Fuel Filter, Etc.**
For all warranty work needing to be done, we require proof of purchase from whomever you purchased the unit from and verify that you registered the unit. If you bought the equipment from Hood's Equipment, we will have all the paperwork on file and have submitted your registration paperwork prior to the purchase.
Customers are responsible for the diagnoses fees if the warranty center does not approve the repair. Warranty does NOT cover any gas-related issues. Warranties must be run through completely, pictures taken, and submitted before ordering parts to repair the unit. Once the warranty has approved the repairs, the unit can then be picked up.
If you do not, or cannot provided us with your proof of purchase and verify the registration, we will not be able to continue with the warranty.
